Winter has bypassed us here in Kentucky. I had a load of 'indoor' work ready to go, but the sun keeps tempting me back outside--which Bud Brown finds delightful. I did manage to stay indoors long enough to finish a 12 x 12 still life, right at home on my kitchen table!

If one adheres to the saying, 'begin as you mean to finish', for my first blog post I'll channel Matisse. I mean to head to the studio and focus on a more painterly approach to the still life started last week of cyclamens next to a bowl of pears on my kitchen table. I'll keep you posted.
